Join us for a very special evening featuring the legendary baritone saxophonist Gary Smulyan. Gary has been a featured member of the Village Vanguard Jazz Orchestra for over 40 years. Considered one of the greatest baritone saxophonists in the world today, Gary Smulyan has been the winner of the DownBeat Critic’s and Reader’s Polls and the Jazz Journalists Award for Baritone Saxophonist of the Year for many years running. He is a six-time Grammy Award winner for his work with B.B. King, Joe Lovano, Dave Holland, and the Village Vanguard Jazz Orchestra. He has released over 15 albums as a leader, and has played with a virtual “who’s who” of the international modern Jazz scene. To hear him in the intimate setting of the PAUSA Art House is an opportunity that should not be missed!
