CarneyMagic is a theatre show about mentors, secrets, and the beauty of a perfect illusion. It blends mind-blowing sleight of hand with intelligence, taste, and wit, into a unique evening of pure entertainment. This is definitely NOT your typical “magic show”. Carney’s approach is smart, engaging, and often hilarious.

Pin-balling between jaunty comedic riffs and astonishing sleight of hand, Carney will have you reeling with his hilarious audience participation segments, as well as his embodiment of multiple characters.

Bio

John Carney is a unique hybrid of Comedian, Actor, and Sleight of Hand Virtuoso. His approach is smart, engaging, and often ... hilarious. He incorporates a variety of characters, from silly to sentimental, into his performances, creating a complete theatrical experience. He is widely acknowledged by his peers as one of the finest sleight of hand performers in the world. Hollywood’s Magic Castle has awarded Carney more awards than anyone in their history, including their prestigious Masters Fellowship.

He performs at theaters and corporate events around the county. Television appearances include Late Show with David Letterman and the Jerry Seinfeld HBO Special. He has performed in theaters throughout the world, as well as casinos in Atlantic City, Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas.

He is a tireless creator of original material, and has shared many of his ideas, techniques, and theory. His books Magic by Design, Carneycopia, The Book of Secrets, and Sleights and Insights, considered modern classics of the art form.
