Grammy Award-winner Joanie Leeds returns to re-launch our Children’s Series with an all-new show that aims to inspire young girls and people of all ages and gender identities.
Joanie’s music celebrates influential women of yesterday and today, such as Harriet Tubman, Amelia Earhart, Malala Yousafzai, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, with a passionate and honest serving of female empowerment folk tunes.
Joanie will be joined by Jeff Litman and Andi Rae Healey
For her original kids music, multi-award winning, NYC-based singer-songwriter Joanie Leeds has won an Independent Music Award, a Gold Parents' Choice Award, NAPPA Gold Award, Family Choice Award, first place in the USA Songwriting Competition, and she is a John Lennon Songwriting Award Finalist and an International Songwriting Competition Finalist.
She has performed songs from her high-energy and interactive albums in dozens of cities across the country at venues such as The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, The Smithsonian, CMAs, Hang Out Festival, Skirball Center in LA, festivals including The Clearwater Festival and Lollapalooza, and her music receives continuous raves including praise from People Magazine, Parents Magazine, New York Times and Washington Post. Her tunes have climbed up the charts to #1 on Sirius-XM's Kids Place Live and WXPN's Kids Corner.
