JLPGC's 6th Annual Juneteenth Celebration

Join the Junior League of Prince George’s County for an afternoon of reflection, celebration, culture, and connection as we honor Juneteenth — a powerful commemoration of freedom, resilience, and Black excellence.

Our Juneteenth Celebration will bring the community together through meaningful conversation, spoken word, music, movement, and fellowship in a space designed to honor the past while celebrating the present and future.

This year’s theme, “Honoring Freedom, Celebrating Culture, Building Community,” reflects our commitment to creating opportunities for dialogue, joy, and collective empowerment.

Attendees can look forward to:

• Opening reflections and a brief history of Juneteenth
• An community icebreaker centered on family stories, strength, and freedom
• Spoken word performances highlighting resilience, legacy, and Black joy
• High-energy line dancing and celebration featuring favorite classics and contemporary hits
• A closing reflection celebrating unity, culture, and purpose
