JK Cheema, author of A PLACE TO BE- a Boswell event

Boswell is please to welcome author JK Cheema into the store for her memoir, A Place to Be, a story of the choices she makes and how she navigates life and work as a woman, transitioning from country to country, somehow making each place a place to be--a home. She will be joined in conversation by Christopher Chambers.

JK Cheema was born in 1942 to a Sikh family in Lahore, which was then India and now Pakistan. In 1975, she moved to Ann Arbor, University of Michigan, for her graduate studies. After graduation, she had a successful career with the United States Agency for International Development. She moved to Madison, Wisconsin after retirement where she lives with her husband. This is her second book.
