Join Jivestock as they team up with the Rahway River Watershed Association and the City of Rahway to headline the third annual Rahway RiverFest! The Fest 2023 theme will be “Love Your River”. There will be many opportunities to connect with nature, learn about our special natural resource, and engage with the community. Experience the live music of Jivestock, live birds of prey shows, get on the river for a short canoe paddle and do some eco-crafts. There will be face painting and balloon animals for the kidos, food trucks, a beer tent and so much more!Here at the RRWA we believe that engaging people in activities that put them in contact with nature is the best way to instill a love for the environment. That’s why our curriculum focuses on outdoor recreation, restoration of our ecosystem, biodiversity, ecology, and citizen science programs that are fun, as well as educational. With this in mind we feel that providing exposure to the river encourages a connection to the river, and ultimately a love of the river. See less
