Arizona alternative rock icons Jimmy Eat World are returning to Australia this December for their biggest ever Australian headline tour, celebrating 25 years of *Bleed American* — the album that took them from cult heroes to one of the defining guitar bands of the 2000s.
The tour marks Jimmy Eat World’s first Australian headline run since 2017, with Melbourne getting one of the final chances anywhere in the world to see *Bleed American* performed live in full.
Released in 2001, *Bleed American* gave the world ‘The Middle’, ‘Sweetness’, ‘A Praise Chorus’ and the title track, helping shape the emotional, melodic sound that would ripple through pop-punk, emo and alternative rock for the next two decades.
They’ll be joined by Ruby Fields and A. Swayze & The Ghosts, making this a massive night for fans of heartfelt guitar music, festival-sized choruses and early-2000s alternative rock nostalgia done properly.
Tickets go on sale to the general public at 11am local time on Thursday, July 16 via TEG Live. PayPal customers can access presale tickets from 10am local time on Tuesday, July 14 until 10am local time on Thursday, July 16, unless sold out earlier.
