The Jimmie and Jane Autry Memorial Golf Tournament will benefit the Onslow Literacy Council. Please join us in honoring the memory of one of our founders Jimmie Autry and his wife Jane, who was also an active supporter of the work to improve adult literacy in Onslow County. There will be cash prizes for the top three teams as well as a special $10,000 split grand prize (half to golfer and half to OLC) Hole in One Contest, and three additional Hole in One Prize holes for a chance at a Delta Airlines Flight Card, TaylorMade Stealth Driver or an Apple iPad.
Check in starts at noon Friday October 28, 2022 at the Jacksonville Country Club.
Shotgun start at 1 pm.
Four person scramble format.
Rules for the special split prize $10,000 Hole in One Contest Grand Prize and three additional prize holes will be posted on the day of the tournament.
Team Registration is $240 per foursome.
Businesses are invited to sponsor a team by paying the golfer fees and additional $35 sponsorship fee. Additional fee includes placard on team golf cart and promotion on Onslow Literacy Council Social Media.
Teams may purchase one throw for a fee of $20. Mulligans are $5 each, and limited to two per golfer. Mulligans and throws MAY NOT be used on the Hole in One Contest Holes, or the golfer will be disqualified from the Hole in One Contest ONLY. Per contest rules, there are no practice shots on the designated holes and only the first shot at these holes will be eligible for the contest.
Prizes will be offered for the longest drive during the tournament for women and men.
Gross score minus team average handicap determines final score for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place team prizes.
Raffle and 50/50 tickets will be sold until 3 pm on the day of the tournament, the drawing will be held during the tournament with winning ticket numbers posted at the end of the tournament.
Both throws and mulligans will be available at check in on the day of the tournament if not purchased in advance.
