In My Eyes, Photographs 1982-1997 features hundreds of impressive (and never-before-seen) photos of punk and hardcore legends such as: Fugazi, Minor Threat, Void, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Dead Kennedys, Jawbox, Government Issue, The Faith, Iron Cross and more. But Saah’s musical palette wasn’t just confined to punk rock, as evidenced by the inclusion of The Cramps, The Pixies, Lou Reed, Guided by Voices, Fishbone, Wilco et al.
The hardcover book closes with several intimate interviews between Saah and longtime friends/fans including Ian MacKaye, J. Robbins , Jon Langford , artist Shepard Fairey, and photographers Cynthia Connolly and Patrick Graham.

JIM SAAH
A native of Washington D.C., Jim first fell in love with documentary photography during the burgeoning D.C. music scene in the early eighties. Photographing the bands and community around the music got him hooked.
He began to combine travel and photography in the early 1990s. In 1991, on assignment for a U.S. Senator, he documented labor and environmental abuses for hearings on N.A.F.T.A. He found this type of photojournalism particularly rewarding. For over 30 years, he has worked for several newspapers and magazines, ranging from the Washington Post to Rolling Stone and tons of indies. His photographs have been featured on many books and records. Two highlights were the best selling-book, Our Band Could Be Your Life and the cover of ‪Fugazi’s Repeater record.
In addition to photography, he has also worked extensively in film and video. Most recently, Jim was Director of Photography on two feature-length documentary films, Salad Days: A Decade of Punk In the Washington, D.C. and CREEM: Americas Only Rock & Roll Magazine.
