Jim Rioux is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. After many years of collaborative work, he released his first proper solo album Darlings of the soil in 2016; two years later he released Yes I Will Yes—both with Burst and Bloom Records. In 2021, he collaborated with Jolie Holland on the single “Some Kind of Ghost”. In addition to releasing his third album The Hook with Burst and Bloom in 2023, he collaborated with Chris Cote on the EP Mercury. Jim has played drums in many bands and is currently a member of The Pomeroys and Summer the Winter. He is the co-founder, with Guy Capecelatro III, of Pale Wallace, an indie rock band that has made an album every year for the past thirteen years as part of the RPM Challlenge. He is author of two books of poems, Fistfuls of the Invisible from Penhallow Press and Too Close to Be So Far Away from Burst and Bloom Press. Jim lives in Kittery, ME with his wife Amanda and their dog Jimbo and teaches creative writing at the University of New Hampshire.
Jon Pistey is a NH born and raised songwriter who has spent time in Say Zuzu as a guitar and bass player. His songs are a slurry of real and imagined biographical source material that he recently collected into the album "Revolving." Jon is joined by El Beringer, a violist, singer, hiker, surfer and roller-derby enthusiast who grew up in Colorado and Michigan before arriving in New Hampshire, where the surfing is better than in Colorado. El has released music under the moniker Grizzly Bearing.
