Getting ready for our 'kick-off' concert this Thursday in McCandless Hall on the campus of Athens State University as part of their 2025-2026 Fiddlers Concert Series... 'our' is my Jim Hurst Band:
Chris Wade - banjo
Fred Carpenter - fiddle & vocals
Matt Wingate - mandolin & vocals
Morgan Blaney - bass & vocals
These are talented folks and nice people as well.
Come on out, we'll have some fun performing songs from my recordings including the upcoming Pinecastle Records release "Travels & Time", which is due for release March 20th.
Tell all your friends and neighbors, and come to Athens State University... try to make time to take in the Delmore Brothers Museum! *Alton and Rabon Delmore (brothers) wrote over 1,000 songs! Lots of talented folks from Alabama - including the Louvin Brothers.
