About this Event
I will guide you step by step through the wax carving process over a 3 hour workshop. You are welcome to bring ideas and references or to just see where the materials and process take you. With my skills as a jewellery designer I will support you to create a personal design that reflects your style and develops your technical ability. No previous experience necessary and all levels welcome but please note this is for people 18+ only.
This is a great opportunity to create a unique piece for yourself or as a gift in time for Xmas. There is also the option to buy a ticket as a gift for my workshop on 12 January, or email me to arrange a private class.
I only have 10 spaces available per workshop so book your spot now! I am also available to give private workshops at your home for a minimum of 6 people, as well as 1:1 classes, please email me directly for enquiries [email protected]
The technical details….
If you would like to make a ring for someone else, please find out their ring size in UK measurements or consider an adjustable design.
There are different pricing options to make this workshop more accessible. Please choose the metal option you would like at the checkout:
- The SILVER option allows for a piece up to 40 mm and 16 g in eco silver (100% recycled)
- The BRASS option allows for a piece unto 40 mm and 30 g in brass
Both options are enough for a solid ring or pendant.
If you would like to go bigger, anything above this will be calculated and charged extra at the workshop. This will all be made very clear during the workshop and there will be opportunity to adjust carving sizes in line with your budget.
I will arrange for professional vacuum casting resulting in a high standard piece of cast jewellery*, hand polished by myself. This is included in the price with additional casting fees for larger pieces.
The piece will be ready for collection or postage (at additional cost) within 2 weeks.
*Please be aware that the casters cannot guarantee casts (due to any technical difficulties) - in the unlikely case that your piece does not cast properly you will be invited back to another workshop free of charge.
There is an option to add a donation to Delia Arts when buying your ticket. 100% of your donation will go to supporting their artist's shelter in Rafah, to find out more or donate directly click this text.
DISCLAIMER: This workshop can only happen when a minimum amount of tickets have sold. In the event that it is postponed/cancelled you will be notified and fully refunded.
