Jessica Keener presents Evening Begins the Day, with Susan Henderson

P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome Jessica Keener to discuss and celebrate the publication of her book, ; a bracing, emotional tale about two families in Boston struggling in the aftermath of betrayal and the illuminating influence of an ancient Jewish practice called the Counting of the Omer, which spans 49 days every spring.

Jessica will be joined in conversation by Susan Henderson, author of . Along with a discussion and audience Q&A, Jessica will also sign copies of her book.

Tickets and books are available both on eventbrite and at the door. Doors will open at 6:30, with the talk starting closer to 7pm.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jes­si­ca Bril­liant Keen­er’s best­selling debut nov­el, Night Swim, was fol­lowed by her col­lec­tion of award-win­ning sto­ries, Women in Bed. Her sec­ond nov­el, Strangers in Budapest, was an Indie Next pick, a South­ern Inde­pen­dent Book­seller Asso­ci­a­tion best­seller, and a “best new book” selec­tion by Enter­tain­ment Week­ly. She has been list­ed in The Push­cart Prize under ‘out­stand­ing writ­ers’ and grant­ed writ­ing fel­low­ships from the Mass­a­chu­setts Cul­tur­al Coun­cil, Brown Uni­ver­si­ty, Wes­leyan Uni­ver­si­ty, the Vir­ginia Cen­ter for the Cre­ative Arts, as well as a wom­en’s lead­er­ship fel­low­ship from the Omega Insti­tute in New York. Jes­si­ca lives with her hus­band, an attor­ney, in Brook­line, MA.

ABOUT THE MODERATOR
Susan Henderson is an 8-time Pushcart Prize nominee, the recipient of an Academy of American Poets Award, and the author of two novels, Up from the Blue and The Flicker of Old Dreams, both published by HarperCollins. Her latest is a Montana Book Award Honor Book and winner of the High Plains Book Award for Fiction, the WILLA Literary Award for Contemporary Fiction, the Western Writers of America Spur Award for Western Contemporary Novel, and included by This House of Books on its list of Top 100 Books of the 21st Century.
