Jesse Krimes Mural Dedication

Please join us in celebrating artist Jesse’s newest mural, created in collaboration with the Mural Arts Rec Crew, part of the Restorative Justice program at Mural Arts Philadelphia. Installed at 990 Spring Garden, a building owned by Arts + Crafts Holdings and led by longtime Mural Arts supporter Craig Grossman, this project reflects the power of art as a tool for healing and collaboration.

The mural is inspired by Jesse’s Elegy Quilt series and draws directly from a set of hands-on workshops with eight Rec Crew participants. Each participant created their own collage in the style of Jesse’s signature quilts, and elements from each of those works were thoughtfully woven into the final mural design; resulting in a collective piece that honors individual expression while telling a shared story.
