We are so happy to be back at Woods Charter School this Saturday after having to miss last week due to the storm! We have so many new plants and have had monarchs laying eggs on the milkweed all week!
Nearly every plant at the plant sale is a keystone species native to the NC Piedmont. If you add the greatest variety of native keystone species (the 14% of native plants that provide over 90% of the benefit to wildlife) to your yard, you can support the greatest variety of wildlife to your yard which will help our rapidly declining butterflies, moths, fireflies, native bees, birds,...to grow their populations instead of heading closer to extinction.
I hope that you find some new keystone species to add to your yards on the list and come out on Saturday to help more wildlife to survive as more and more of the native landscape is cleared for development. The wildlife needs us more than ever! We are nature's best hope!
These are the plants that will be available at the plant sale at Woods Charter School this Saturday, April 15 from 8:30 am- 2 pm.
