Jeremy McCabe is a drummer and songwriter based in Cleveland, Ohio. Coming up learning from local greats such as Paul Samuels, Carmen Castaldi, Anthony Taddeo, and others, Jeremy’s passion for drumming led him to Oberlin Conservatory, where he studied with Billy Hart and Jamey Haddad and graduated in 2021. Since then, he has been active on the Northeast Ohio scene, backing the likes of Bobby Selvaggio, Bryan Kennard, and Kevin Martinez while manning the drum chair in Americana-roots band Cowboy Princess Brigade.
As leader of the Jeremy McCabe Group, Jeremy seeks to curate a listening experience reflective of his diverse musical interests. The band navigates an array of material pulled from jazz and rock history with an exploratory approach and a focus on atmosphere and intensity. The result is a mixture of hard-hitting grooves, avant-garde ideas, emotive beauty, and sonic ferocity reminiscent of early fusion and art rock.
