We're thrilled to be partnering once again with NYT Bestselling Author Jeneva Rose and Blackstone Publishing for the launch of Jeneva's newest thriller, Home is Where the Bodies Are!
Join us at Jeneva's alma mater high school, Delavan-Darien High School, for this special HOMETOWN EVENT! Jeneva will talk with the audience, answer questions and sign books. The event begins at 6 PM with doors opening at 5:30. Seating will be first come, first served.
**PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY. THERE ARE IMPORTANT DETAILS BELOW ABOUT THIS EVENT.**
There is no ticket required for this event. However, we strongly encourage you to pre-order a copy of the book so you can avoid a line for purchasing at the event and assure that you have your copy.
Books will be available for pickup at our store beginning April 30 until the day before the event. On the day of the event, we will bring any remaining pre-orders with us for you to pick up at the event location.
Jeneva will be signing all pre-ordered books before the event begins and will have an optional signing line after the event for anyone who wants their book personalized and/or would like to meet Jeneva and take a photo.
Purchasing a copy of HOME IS WHERE THE BODIES ARE through Reads by the River will get you a ticket for the signing line after the event. Due to the large attendance expected at this event, only those who have purchased HOME IS WHERE THE BODIES ARE through Reads by the River will receive a ticket for the signing line. Those who have not purchased a book through us are still welcome to get their books signed, but will have to wait until after the ticketed line has finished. We highly recommend ordering books in advance of the event, as there's always a chance we will sell out by the event day. Purchasing your books through Reads by the River allows us to continue to host author events, so we thank you in advance for your support!
You are also welcome to reach out to us to order any of Jeneva's previously published titles. We will have some available at the event but ordering in advance will assure we have enough on hand.
Please visit the "Tickets" link on this post to order your copy of Home is Where the Bodies Are. We ask that all pre-orders also be PRE-PAID to streamline the process at the event itself.
TO ASSIST US IN PLANNING FOR THE EVENT ITSELF, WHEN YOU SUBMIT YOUR ORDER, PLEASE PUT A NOTE IN THE COMMENTS SECTION INDICATING YOU ARE PLANNING TO ATTEND THE EVENT AT DDHS. Thank you!
About Home is Where the Bodies Are:
From New York Times bestselling author of The Perfect Marriage and You Shouldn’t Have Come Here comes a chilling family thriller about the (sometimes literal) skeletons in the closet.
After their mother passes, three estranged siblings reunite to sort out her estate. Beth, the oldest, never left home. She stayed with her mom, caring for her until the very end. Nicole, the middle child, has been kept at arm’s length due to her ongoing battle with a serious drug addiction. Michael, the youngest, lives out of state and hasn’t been back to their small Wisconsin town since their father ran out on them seven years before.
While going through their parents’ belongings, the siblings stumble upon a collection of home videos and decide to revisit those happier memories. However, the nostalgia is cut short when one of the VHS tapes reveals a night back in 1999 that none of them have any recollection of. On screen, their father appears covered in blood. What follows is a dead body and a pact between their parents to get rid of it, before the video abruptly ends.
Beth, Nicole, and Michael must now decide whether to leave the past in the past or uncover the dark secret their mother took to her grave.
