Join us for the 14th Annual Virginia Peninsula Literary Consortium's Author Talk on Thursday, October 7, 2021, at 7 p.m. at the Christopher Newport University David Student Union (masks required for the in person event). We are pleased to announce that Jeffery Deaver is our 2021 featured author. We are also offering a virtual option of attending on Zoom, register at https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_JV1qeaTJQtioySknGVvH9Q.Free tickets (required) for the in person event for the author talk, question-and-answer session and book signing are available beginning Wednesday, September 17, at the sponsoring libraries of the Virginia Peninsula Literary Consortium, which consists of the public libraries of Newport News, Hampton, Poquoson and York County and the academic libraries of Christopher Newport University, Hampton University and Thomas Nelson Community College.
Tickets will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to two per person while supplies last. Open seating to the event, to be held in the David Student Union at Christopher Newport University, is limited, and attendees are advised to arrive early (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). Ticket holders will be seated first; any remaining seats will then be open to the general public. Masks are required for the in person event.
Every year, the VPLC partners with Thomas Nelson Community College. Students have the opportunity to design artwork for this annual event. This year, Brittney Jolly’s artwork won the contest. Student entries will be on display at the event. Congratulations, Brittney!
