A songwriter with a killer solo career, Slate has collaborated with legends like Pete Townshend, toured with Sheryl Crow, and shared stages with Roger McGuinn, Jeff Tweedy, Margo Price, and more.His music has appeared in film, TV, and ads, he’s a regular on SiriusXM, co‑author of The Authorized Roy Orbison, and one of the rare writers to interview Bob Dylan.
Slate’s new album, The Last Day of Summer—featuring Dave Stewart, Duff McKagan, Earl Slick, members of Paul Weller’s band, and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds—drops May 17 on Schnitzel Records, with photos by rock‑icon Bob Gruen. He plays often at the legendary Cafe Wha? with tributes to Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Keith Richards, and George Harrison and recently joined Jake Thistle on our Cliffwood stage!
