Born and raised in Idaho, Jeff Crosby has been sharing his unique perspective of Americana throughout the US and Europe over the past decade. After moving to Los Angeles CA in 2012, Crosby landed 2 songs ("This Old Town" and "Oh Love, Oh Lord") on the hit FX series Sons of Anarchy which has led to the band continually performing over 200 shows a year throughout the US and Europe.Additionally, Crosby spent 2015-16 on the road playing lead guitar for Widespread Panic song-writer Jerry Joseph, as well as for Austin Texas road warriors Reckless Kelly in 2019. Crosby has co-written songs featured on Austin TX band Micky The Motorcars recent release Long Time Comin’ and Reckless Kelly’s American Girls/American Jackpot. After spending 3 years based in Nashville TN, Crosby has returned to Idaho and will continue to tour with his band full-time in support of his most recent release NORTHSTAR (APRIL 2020) and the current single “Runnin’ Free” (MAY 2021) feat. Cody Braun (Reckless Kelly) and Produced/Engineered by Gregg Williams and Jonathan Tyler.
Brooklyn artist John Brodeur conceived Bird Streets as his return to a band format after a lengthy stint as a solo artist. The new point of view proved to be artistically freeing, moving Brodeur to officially adopt the moniker as his nom de guerre with the release of a self-titled 2018 LP. That album, produced by indie-pop hero Jason Falkner (Beck, Daniel Johnston), was a refreshing blast of classic-yet-modern melodic rock that received accolades from PopMatters (“a rock solid power-pop gem”) and NPR Music, which named Bird Streets a Slingshot Artist alongside then-emerging talents like Phoebe Bridgers and The Beths.
For Lagoon, his second album under the Bird Streets name, Brodeur has widely expanded on the project’s collaborative foundation, enlisting production by Pat Sansone (Wilco), Michael Lockwood (Fiona Apple), Zach Jones (Sting) and Oscar Albis Rodriguez (A Great Big World), plus guest appearances from the likes of Aimee Mann, Ed Harcourt, John Davis of Superdrag, and Big Star’s Jody Stephens. Both epic and intimate, sometimes simultaneously, Lagoon has been called “sublime” (Coachella Valley Weekly), “luxurious and literate” (Rock & Roll Truth), and “an emotional tour de force” (Glide). It’s an enormous step forward from an artist who has been hailed for his evocative storytelling and keen attention to craft.
