About this Event

JEA Advisers Institute brings journalism teachers from across the country together for a week of adviser-specific training and networking.

The 2024 JEA Advisers Institute will return in person again Monday, July 15 through Thursday, July 18.

J EA members receive a discount registration, join or renew before you register.

SCHEDULE

Monday’s event is the first conference session starting at 8 p.m. (registration check-in starts at 7:30 p.m.). On Tuesday, the general sessions starts at 8:30 a.m., and breakout sessions start at 10 a.m and end at 5 p.m. On Wednesday, all attendees will participate in our team storytelling workshop. This all-day event gets everyone out of the hotel to experience Providence. The conference ends by noon on Thursday.

LOCATION - Omni Providence Hotel

The Omni Providence Hotel is the official hotel of JEA Advisers Institute and features world-class amenities and accommodations. Connected to Providence Place Mall and Rhode Island Convention Center, Omni Providence Hotel is conveniently located near top destinations in downtown Providence including Brown University, Providence College, RISD and the Amica Mutual Pavilion. The charming Rhode Island hotel offers elevated accommodations with sweeping views of the downtown skyline. We encourage all attendees to stay at the Omni Providence Hotel, which will house all conference activities.

Hotel rates are $189 for singles/doubles, $219 for triples and $249 for quads, plus taxes and service fees.

The cutoff date to receive the special group rate is June 24, 2024.
