J.E. Presents Cultural Therapy Black August Unity Festival

Originally started in the 1970s by California prisons, Black August is a way to “honor the lives and deaths of Black political prisoners killed by the state, bringing awareness to Pr*son conditions, and to honor the radical tradition of Black resistance against anti-Black state violence and systemic oppression.

Come out Sunday August 25th with your friends and family and enjoy a day of Music, Art, Food, Vendors, Live Performances out in the Park. All ages welcome.

Lets support all the artists and deejays in this Unity Festival. Purchase a ticket. Black spending power is 1.3 trillion a year. Black people in America would be the 8th richest nation in the world. Imagine if we kept the black dollar in house.

Hip hop out in the park, how it started. There will be other functions also at this Black August Unity Festival that will touch on the meaning of Black August and its a day of commemorating our ancestors as well.
