Come dressed up in costume and populate the dance floor with figures from dreams, archetypes from the collective unconscious, or beings from other planes❗Miki Aurora will be spinning the classic Just Dance register of raw, percussive organic sounds mixed with a transmundane aural trajectory to create a launch pad to other states of consciousness. She will be joined by Raghunath Khe, bringing a sophisticated and vibrant mix of highly-danceable vibrations from some of the worlds most innovative musicians and producers. Delicious basslines, ecstatic rhythms, and blissed-out frequencies. This is one not to be missed ✨
There will be a micro-lounge area set up, outside drinks (non-alc.) welcome.

:: MIKI AURORA ::
The dj project of artist and esotericist Miki Aurora is a nod to the dancefloor as a site of ritual, and the rave as the modern iteration of the emancipatory visionary spirit of the 60s counter-culture (PLUR!). She's organized various art raves in the Vancouver underground scene and led workings at many of them. Her selections are notable for their enigmatic female vocal sample content and genre fusion in an attempt to dissolve retrograde subcultural divisions. For her Just Dance set, she'll be spinning a selection of booty-shaking earthen beats fit for a dancefloor at the dawn of the golden age.
:: RAGHUNATH KHE ::
Raghunath Khe has been an intrinsic part of the evolving conscious / fringe dance culture for more than 25 years. An innovative composer, producer, and dj, they are interested in the transformative and transcendent properties of music, movement, bhajan, and community. They have previously released four albums, earlier ones under the moniker Haitchc, and have composed multiple original film scores. Raghunath is a formal brahmana initiate within the brahma-madhva-gaudiya sampradaya (lineage) committed to practice, having spent several uninterrupted years in their youth as a student monk serving in temples both in Canada and India. Regularly performing, teaching, and orchestrating events, they are affiliated with the Waxing Moon collective, Intention Gathering, and are a co-resident dj and organizer at Vancouver's long-running Just Dance night. In addition, Raghunath contributes musically and otherwise to various festivals and gatherings locally and internationally. A long-time radio presence, they are currently the host and producer of Mantra Radio on CiTR 101.9fm in Vancouver.
:: VJ KASHUB ::
Kashub's name stems from the tribe of his ancestry situated along what is now the Baltic Coast of Poland. The tribe, now dispersed and displaced, lived peacefully isolated amidst sand dunes and swamps along the Baltic since before the dawn of the State of the Teutonic Order some 800 years ago. Kashub is passionately dedicated to augmenting dancefloors with beautiful, lush, and meaningful visuals. Driven by this, he intuitively syncs his artistic output to the shifting mood of the room and the evolving music. He hopes to help elevate the immersive experience, making every event a synesthetic journey where sight and sound merge.

Just Dance is a positive party community event. It offers a unique opportunity to dance to an eclectic selection of music from around the world. Held every week Just Dance can be described as a refreshing alternative to the bar and club scene. It is a place where you are free to be yourself, connect with a vibrant community and dance the way you want!.
