"Balanced Chaos" Artist Statement

Stepping into the broken yet beautiful mind of ROSEY is like entering a world where emotions are painted with raw, vivid strokes. As a fine artist, he channels the depths of his inner struggles with depression and the incessant weight of OCD into his work. The canvas becomes a battleground, where shadows of despair intermingle with bursts of color that represent fleeting moments of hope. Each brushstroke is a reflection of his personal turmoil, a visual expression of the suffocating grip of anxiety and the relentless thoughts that spiral through his mind. Yet, amidst the chaos, there is a quiet beauty in the imperfection—an invitation to witness the complexity of the human condition. His art is both haunting and mesmerizing, capturing the overwhelming force of mental health struggles while offering a glimpse of light that lingers even in the darkest of places.

"Balanced Chaos" will be exhibited at JCC Indianapolis from March 19 through April 27.
