"MALFUNCTION" FROM ABERDEEN...
PUNK AT ITS BEST...Malfunction is a four-piece punk rock band, first formed in Aberdeen in 1981. The band gigged around the North East until they disbanded in the mid-80s. Influenced by the early punk bands like The Clash, The Ruts and The Buzzcocks, the band gigged around Aberdeen in the early eighties at venues like 62 Club and the Cobweb – family and work commitments led to the band calling it a day,
However, the members kept in touch and always talked about reforming, which they did 20 years later. They started jamming as a three piece, after a few original members left we added 2 members of new dawn fades the joy division tribute band (Norman & Grant) to complete the current line up.
New album is due out early 2026.
