J.Bernardt, aka Jinte Deprez, also a member of the iconic band Balthazar, is a true jack-of-all-trades. Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, producer, sound engineer, and programmer—he does it all. With Four In The Morning he unveils his first new track since 2024. The song marks a new step in his journey, with a more defined artistic identity and a musical aesthetic that reflects his personality more than ever. For this new release, he flew to 64 Sound Studio in Los Angeles, where he collaborated with producer Paul Butler, known for his work with Michael Kiwanuka and Devendra Banhart. The result is a track that retains J.Bernardt’s recognizable signature while sounding freer, bolder, and more spontaneous.
“This track immediately caught my attention because it’s not the kind of song I usually write. There was a kind of almost manic urgency that made me feel like something was calling me. So I went for it, probably carried by the sense of rebirth the song gave me. Why not? I wanted to feel reborn. That’s how this image came about: a dancer in his finest suit, wandering through Los Angeles at four in the morning. With this new material, Jinte reveals himself to be freer and more spontaneous than ever: wild, warm, and full of life. A soundtrack already perfect for summer, but one that will fit just as well during a winter evening live at AB.
