EN: The Hanged One, Camila Nebbia's Berlin sextet, takes its name from the twelfth card of the tarot and works with what it stands for: suspension, reversal, new perspectives without fear of collision. Heavy grooves, chromatic saturation, free improvisation and composed material between jazz, post-punk and experimental music. Pitch Shifting Group combine acoustic instruments with generative systems and audio-reactive projections — sound translated into highly abstract imagery, in real time.

DE: The Hanged One ist nach der zwölften Tarotkarte benannt: der Gehängte. Camila Nebbias 2023 in Berlin gegründetes Sextett arbeitet mit dem, wofür die Karte steht — Schwebezustand und die Auflösung des Materiellen, eine Welt, die sich umdreht, damit neue Perspektiven entstehen können, ohne Angst vor der Kollision. Die Musik schöpft aus freier Improvisation ebenso wie aus komponiertem Material: schwere Grooves, chromatische Sättigung, Intensität und ausgeprägte melodische Passagen. Ihr Klang bewegt sich zwischen Jazz, Post-Punk und experimenteller Musik. Im Sommer 2026 erscheint das Debütalbum „Limbo" bei Relative Pitch Records (New York), gefördert vom Musikfonds.
EN: The Hanged One is named after the twelfth card of the tarot. Formed in Berlin in 2023 by Camila Nebbia, the sextet works with what the card stands for — suspension and the destruction of materiality, everything turning upside down so that new perspectives can emerge, without fear of collision. The music draws deeply on free improvisation and on composed material: heavy grooves, chromatic saturation, intensity and strong melodic passages. Their sound moves between jazz, post-punk and experimental music. In summer 2026 they release their debut album "Limbo" on the NYC label Relative Pitch Records, supported by Musikfonds.

DE: Pitch Shifting ist eine audiovisuelle Zusammenarbeit, die der Musiker Grgur Savic und die visuelle Künstlerin Sanja Star 2019 begonnen haben; in der Quartettbesetzung erweitert um Richard Scott am Modularsynthesizer und Samuel Hall am Schlagzeug. Akustische Instrumente treffen auf generative Systeme, die den Klang in Echtzeit verarbeiten, und auf audioreaktive Projektionen: eine klare Darstellung von Klang durch hochabstrakte Bildlichkeit. Elektroakustische Sets in enger Verständigung, quer durch Medien und Genres — eine fortlaufende Bewegung aus Wellen und Wechselströmen. Savic untersucht darin die Spannung zwischen menschlicher Kreativität und maschineller Präzision. Gespielt u.a. bei der Musikbiennale Zagreb, im Porgy & Bess Wien und beim Multiversal Festival Berlin.
EN: Pitch Shifting is an audio-visual collaboration begun in 2019 between musician Grgur Savic and visual artist Sanja Star, expanded here into a quartet with Richard Scott on modular synthesizer and Samuel Hall on drums. Acoustic instruments meet generative systems that process the sound in real time, and audio-reactive projections: a clear representation of sound through highly abstract imagery. Electroacoustic sets in close conversation, cutting across media and genre — a continuous motion of waves and alternating currents. Savic uses it to examine the tension between human creativity and machine precision. They have performed at the Zagreb Music Biennale, Porgy & Bess Vienna and Multiversal Festival Berlin.
