Meglepőbb találkozást aligha tudnánk elképzelni, mint hogy a jazzbois fúziós jazz-hiphop trió randevút ad az ötvenhárom éves Kaláka együttesnek, az énekelt vers hazai legendájának. Nem is olyan könnyű eldönteni, melyikük számára nagyobb merészség, annyi bizonyos, hogy a közönség csak jól járhat. Elvégre a Kaláka örökifjú előadókból áll, a jazzbois pedig egyaránt nagy alázattal viseltet a jazzhagyományok és a hiphop-tradíciók iránt, és ez a hozzáállás az egyik kulcsa elképesztő nemzetközi sikereiknek is.2017-ben még a Jazz-tehetségbörze színpadán lépett fel a jazzbois, s már akkor zajos sikert aratott. Sokan találgatták, hogyan kell mondani a nevüket, franciás kiejtéssel vagy angolosan. Persze nem véletlen az áthallás, bár fafúvós hangszer nincs a trió eszköztárában. Vannak viszont billentyűs hangszerek, amelyeket Molnár Bencze szólaltat meg, a basszusgitárt Sági Viktor, a dobokat pedig Czirják Tamás. 2019-ben jelent meg a Jazzbois Goes Blunt a Blunt Shelter Records gondozásában, amely azonnal a nemzetközi porondra repítette őket. Egyre több szerkesztő figyelt fel rájuk, így született meg először egy közös szám a kaliforniai MC-vel, Kid Abstrakttal, amelyet közös fellépés is megkoronázott 2022-ben. Többször voltak hallhatók a legendás Worldwide FM-en és a Brownswood kiadó listáján, illetve a Soulection atyja, Joe Kay is gyakran pörgeti őket. Élő fellépéseiken elképesztő energia jellemzi játékukat, amit végre a Fesztivál Színház közönsége is megtapasztalhat. Gyakori vendégük Mukunda Mátyás gitáros és Dombeats, azaz Kosztolánszki Dominik szaxofonos. Ezen az esten a generációk párbeszéde megismételhetetlen élményt jelent majd.

One could hardly imagine a more surprising encounter than this joint appearance by the fusion jazz-hiphop trio Jazzbois and the 53-year-old Kaláka Band, Hungary's legendary masters of the sung poem. It isn't even so easy to decide which of them is the more daring to take on this challenge. What is certain, though, is that the audience is sure to do well out of it. After all, Kaláka is made up of eternally youthful performers, and the members of jazzbois approach both jazz traditions and hiphop ones with great humility, an attitude that is one of the keys to their amazing international success.
When jazzbois performed on the stage of the Jazz Talent Exchange in 2017, they were already a howling success. Many people have tried to guess how to pronounce their name: should it have a French sound or an English one? Of course, this crosstalk is no coincidence, even though no one in the trio plays a woodwind instrument. There are, however, keyboard instruments played by Bencze Molnár, along with Viktor Sági's bass guitar and Tamás Czirják on drums. In 2019, Jazzbois Goes Blunt was released by Blunt Shelter Records, which immediately catapulted them onto the international stage. The increasing attention they were receiving in the music world led first to a joint track with California's MC titled Kid Abstrakt, which was followed by a joint performance in 2022. They have been heard several times on the legendary Worldwide FM and on the list of the Brownswood music label, and Joe Kay, the father of Soulection, often spins their records. Their live performances are characterised by amazing energy, which the audience at the Festival Theatre will now finally get to experience. A frequent guest of theirs is Dombeats, that is, saxophonist Dominik Kosztolánszki. The dialogue between generations on this evening will be an unrepeatable experience.
