Our jazz series is back for the fall! Experience jazz at its finest on DelArt’s Steinway Grand Piano, with performances that perfectly complement the Jazz Age Illustration exhibition. Enjoy a captivating 40-minute set followed by an artist chat led by Raye Jones Avery, where you'll gain insights into the music and its connections to the exhibition. The event concludes with a final 30-minute performance, offering a perfect blend of music and conversation.

Janury's featured Musician: Kendrah Butler-Waters

Kendrah Butler-Waters is a Philadelphia-based pianist, violinist, vocalist, composer, and educator. As a performer, this brilliant pianist culminates the sounds of jazz, classical, and gospel into a wonderfully woven sound that is all her own. Butler-Waters has performed at countless jazz venues, including the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts, The Philadelphia Clef Club, International House Philadelphia, Museum of the American Revolution, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Mandell Theater, Venice Island Performing Arts Center, Cape May Jazz Festival, Lancaster Avenue Jazz Festival, Ardmore Jazz Festival, Chris’Jazz Cafe, and abroad. Butler-Waters’ work has been featured on NPR, WRTI, PBS, WHYY, and countless other media outlets.
