Gloria is a classically trained harpist who has expanded the role of the instrument in improvisational jazz. She will be joined by her talented quartet of musicians. Gloria Galante, Harp; Craig McIver, Drums; Lee Smith, Bass; Marc Adler, Flute.Gloria was honored with the 2019 Jazz Legacy Award from the Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz and Performing Arts. She is a dedicated performer and educator who studied under the first woman harpist of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Edna Phillips, and has been recognized for her significant contributions to the Philadelphia jazz community.
