'The Park' presents an evening of jazz with The GNP Trio ft. Matt Niedbalski, Tyler Giroux and Dylan Perrillo live on Thursday, November 21st, 2024! 🎹 🎶Matt Niedbalski is back with his monthly Jazz Night featuring a rotating lineup of featured artists and favorite collaborators. Enjoy music from the farthest throes of the jazz genre, from the classics you already love to originals you’ll fall in love with.

🎶 Matt Niedbalski (drums):
Matt Niedbalski is a drummer known for bringing musicality and energy to the bandstand. Born and raised in New York’s Capital District, Matt was exposed to music at a very early age. While in high school he took private drum lessons with drummer/author Ted Mackenzie and participated in the Empire State Youth Orchestra as well as the Skidmore Summer Jazz Institute. Before graduating high school Matt played with many local musicians, performing at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, the Final Stretch Music Festival and the Lake George Jazz Festival where he opened for Rudresh Manthappa and Bunky Green.

🎶 Tyler Giroux (piano / trombone):
Tyler Giroux is a piano and valve trombone player in Upstate New York. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam and a Master’s Degree in Jazz Performance from the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. He has performed and studied with many notable musicians, including John Daversa, Alan Ferber, Mitch Frohman, Sheila Jordan, Dante Luciani, Brian Lynch, Scott Robinson, Tony Succar, and Bret Zvacek. He finished 1st place in the 2014 International Tuba Euphonium Conference Rich Matteson Jazz Competition, and has performed at numerous festivals, including the Monterey Jazz Festival, Quebec Jazz Festival, and Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival.
Currently, Tyler performs regularly around New York State’s Capital Region. He performs with his own groups, as well as the Giroux Brothers, Alex Torres and His Latin Orchestra, GNP, the Dylan Perrillo Orchestra, Bryan Brundige and the Piggly Wigglies, The Brass Machine, and several other local musicians.
In addition to his performing career, Tyler is an avid music educator. He is an experienced private instructor and clinician, topics including piano, trombone, jazz theory, and improvisation.

🎶 Dylan Perrillo
Dylan Perrillo is a conservatory trained upright bassist, composer and arranger from New York’s capital region who maintains an active performance schedule within the early jazz and folk music circles. I enjoy composing original music for my groups the Dylan Perrillo Orchestra and Dylan Perrillo Quintet and writing/arranging music for fellow musicians and singer-songwriters.
