Michelle Amato is a dynamic vocalist whose abilities to convey the deep passion of a lyric, then soar effortlessly through the stratosphere, have taken her from posh, intimate clubs to The Hollywood Bowl and Radio City Music Hall.She has performed in Cirque Du Soleil’s “La Nouba” in the past and with The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, with whom she toured Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, and across the Atlantic on Crystal Cruise Line. Michelle has performed and recorded with an incredibly diverse array of artists, including Liza Minnelli, Quincey Jones, Al Green, Sandi Patty, Jon Secada, Michael McDonald, Donna Summer, Jon Hendricks, Celia Cruz, Rita Marley, and world-renowned composer Yanni. Her solo and background vocal work can be heard on his “Ethnicity” CD and “Yanni Live” DVD. In Addition, her debut CD, “I’m All Smiles” is available on iTunes.
Michelle will be bringing Michael Kramer on piano, Charlie Silva on bass, Ed Metz on drums and Terry Myers playing sax.
This Jazz Lovers’ Club event is for residents of The Villages and guests with a visitor pass. Doors open at 5:30pm. We have seating with tables and chairs, and you may bring your own beverage and snacks. Admission is $15 for members or $20 for non-members. Annual club membership is only $10. No reservations required. Pay at the door.
