About Mary Jo (MJ):
Mary Jo (MJ) Lasky is the Lead Teacher and Training & Development Manager at Feel the Beat and has been with the organization for almost 2 years. MJ began her dance career at the ripe age of 3 at Denver Dance Starz in Thornton, CO, and trained there for 14 years, both at the recreational and competitive level, in all styles. She attended the University of Northern Colorado and is also a member of Colorado’s premier tap company, Rocky Mountain Rhythm. In her second year at university, she started teaching at Loveland & Conservatory Dance as their primary tap teacher and competition choreographer. There she developed her own tap curriculum and choreographed a variety of tap groups, duets, and solos. After graduation, she moved back to Denver and started teaching at her mentor's studio, Miss Rachael’s Dance, and shortly after joined the team at Feel the Beat. MJ will continue working for Feel the Beat in New York as we look to expand Feel the Beat’s NYC presence.
