ZAZU West is Phoenix's premier ensemble dedicated to Gypsy Jazz, the style devoted to the legacy of the influential jazz guitar legend, Django Reinhardt. Whether you call it Gypsy Jazz, Jazz Manouche, or French Swing, the sound is infectious and unmistakably Django.
ZAZU West features Constance Genter - vocals, Allen Ames - violin, Jeff Quamo - clarinet, Mike Fowler and Ryan Vance - Guitar, and Vincent Theifain - bass. Playing unique Django compositions and traditional and contemporary jazz standards in the Gypsy style, ZAZU West creates a one-of-a-kind performance experience full of irresistible swing and improvisation with reckless abandon.

Jazz for the Soul, an outreach of Music Serving the Word Ministries, is pleased to contribute 100% of donations from this concert to PRISM (People’s Response in Supporting Music), providing new, gently used, and refurbished musical instruments to underprivileged students through Title 1 Schools and other musical programs for kids. All JFTS Concerts are FREE and open to the public. 6-8 pm - Doors open at 4:45 pm.
