JAZZ - Digba Ogunbiyi Quartet Album Release

The music of Pianist and composer Digba Ogunbiyi is filled with soul and depth, weaving West African Yoruba rhythm, jazz and classical traditions into music that is grounded, searching and deeply human. A recipient of the Steinway and sons piano proficiency award from Nigeria amongst other awards, Digba continues to put west African jazz music on the global scene.

The Quartet featuring Digba Ogunbiyi on piano, Adam Aronesty on Sax, Zach Walgren on bass and Chidi on drums - presents an evening of original music as part of their on-going "Stay Still" Album release tour. Although the music explores west african traditional nuances influenced largely by Digba's Nigerian roots, each member of the band has a uniquely strong voice in the traditional jazz idiom allowing the music to flow seamlessly between genres.
