Join us for a performance by a Quartet symbolizing the intermingling of Tradition and Modernity with Sitar as the main instrument. The gig will be traversing the boundaries of jazz and Indian classical music for cultural dialogue with Piano Drums and Double Bass by the musicians based in Germany. The gig challenges stylistic boundaries to create aesthetic connections between the two. The artist is trained in traditional Indian music on Sitar and have given several performances before coming to Germany for studies in Jazz.
Their album Essence of Duality gives a strong rhythmic stability enabling a complex rhythmic exchange. Though one can’t directly assign the music as European or Indian because of a new compositional style one can still identify with the music and enjoy it thoroughly.
