Jazz! at the Barn featuring Dominic Duval and Gilad Hekselman Duo

Join us on 9/22 where you will enjoy an afternoon of live jazz in an intimate setting. This show will mark the first time these two friends and amazing musicians will be playing together on Long Island.

Bassist Dominic Duval has been playing both upright and electric basses for the past twenty years on the local, national, and international music scene. From 2007-2011, Dominic attended the prestigious Eastman School of Music as a double major in both classical and jazz double bass performance where he studied with James VanDemark, Jeff Campbell, Harold Danko, and Bill Dobbins. Throughout his career, Dominic has performed at many notable venues including: Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, The Jazz Standard, The 55 Bar, The Bar Next Door, and Smalls.

Gilad Hekselman is one of the leading voices in jazz guitar. Born in Israel and based in New York, he tours globally as a bandleader, and has shared the stage with some of the greatest artists in jazz including Chris Potter, Eric Harland, Fred Hersch, Mark Turner, Anat Cohen, Ari Hoenig, Esperanza Spalding, Jeff Ballard, Ben Wendel, Gretchen Parlato, Ben Williams, Avishai Cohen, Tigran Hamasyan, Aaron Parks and Becca Stevens among many others.
