Kööpenhaminassa syntynyt ja Lontoossa asustava Jasper Høiby nousi eurooppalaisen jazzin kärkinimien joukkoon Phronesis-yhtyeen perustajajäsenenä ja saapuu nyt Suomeen uuden pianotrionsa 3Elementsin kanssa! Melodisella ja rohkealla tyylillään vakuuttavassa 3Elementsissä Høibyn rinnalla soittavat etelä-korealainen pianoihme Chaerin Im sekä eklektinen hollantilaisrumpali Jamie Peet.
Vuonna 2005 ensimmäisen yhtyeensä perustanut Høiby on kerännyt tunnustusta jazzkentällä yhdistellessään konstikkaita sävellyksiä spontaaniin improvisaatioon. Phronesis-yhtyeensä lisäksi hän on soittanut mm. kokoonpanoissa Fellow Creatures ja Planet B, ja hänen aiempiin yhteistyökumppaneihinsa lukeutuvat mm. Tigran Hamasyan, Jason Lindner, Jeff Ballard, Verneri Pohjola ja Makay McCraven.
Vuodesta 2010 alkaen Høiby on julkaissut kaikki äänitteensä Edition-levymerkin kautta. Vuonna 2012 Høiby noteerattiin Copenhagen Jazz Festivalin 'Young Spirit Award' -palkinnolla.

As the founding member of Phronesis, one of the most talked about and acclaimed European bands during the last decade, Jasper Høiby now returns with his new piano trio 3Elements. With a melodic and bold sound of visceral and kinetic musical interplay and featuring a revolving line-up of some of Europe’s best young talent, his latest release ‘Like Water’ features piano prodigy Chaerin Im from South Korea and Jamie Peet, a uniquely eclectic drummer from the Netherlands.
Since creating his first band in 2005, Copenhagen-born London based bassist Jasper Høiby has gained recognition for his fresh and dynamic approach to jazz, blending intricate compositions with spontaneous improvisation. With Høiby's bass playing at the forefront, he has released a string of highly acclaimed albums and toured extensively around the globe, captivating audiences with his various groups which include Phronesis, Fellow Creatures and Planet B. His music transcends genres, combining elements of contemporary jazz and European folky influences with cutting edge improvisation.
Since 2010, Jasper Høiby has emerged as a pivotal artist within Edition Records, choosing the label as the exclusive home for all his musical releases. His collaborations span across a spectrum of the jazz scene's luminaries including Tigran Hamasyan, Jason Lindner, Jeff Ballard, Shai Maestro, Mark Guiliana, Verneri Pohjola, Marius Neset, Django Bates, Sun Mi Hong, Miquel Zenón, Louis Cole, Makaya McCraven, Ben Lamar Gay, Wolfgang Muthspiel and Kit Downes. He has appeared at jazz clubs, concert halls and festivals across the world and in 2012 won the Copenhagen Jazz Festival's 'Young Spirit Award' alongside honorary award winners Jack DeJohnette and Palle Mikkelborg.
