As the co-founder of Phronesis, Jasper Høiby gave a new impulse to the jazz piano trio. With 3Elements he continues this journey. With a melodic and bold sound of visceral and kinetic musical interplay and featuring a revolving line-up of some of Europe’s best young talent, his latest release Like Water features piano prodigy Chaerin Im from South Korea and Jamie Peet, a uniquely eclectic drummer from the Netherlands.
When it comes to double bass, Jasper Høiby is one of the greats of British jazz. Over the past decade, the Danish-born player has become renowned for his fearlessly expressive sound, charismatic stage presence and distinct compositional prowess. Aside from his international success with Phronesis, he has formed Fellow Creatures and Planet B. His music transcends genres, combining jazz, folk and rock influences with cutting edge improvisation.
