Official Japanese Premiere of "For Philip Guston" (1984) & World Premiere by Yuji Takahashi.
We are deeply honored to announce an official project partnership with Universal Edition (UE125) for this monumental Morton Feldman centenary project, co-hosted by Nakameguro Art Center and Office Zero Japan.
■ Project Highlights:
The Concert (Sep 26): Experience Feldman's 4.5-hour marathon masterpiece within the architectural legacy of Pritzker laureate Fumihiko Maki at Daikanyama Hillside Plaza.
World Premiere: Opening with a newly commissioned flute solo by Yuji Takahashi.
Special Talk (Sep 12): Featuring legendary pianist Aki Takahashi, dedicatee of "Triadic Memories" and premiere performer of "For Bunita Marcus."
Stage Art: A curated display of exquisite antique rugs by Miri Collection, recreating the "abrash" color gradations that inspired Feldman's sonic landscapes.
This epoch-making project is realized with the esteemed backing of U.S. Embassy Tokyo and the gracious cooperation of The Guston Foundation.
