Japanese Mending Workshop

Learn how to mend your clothing by hand using simple running stitch to repair and strengthen denim, cotton or linen.

You will be introduced to stitching traditional Sashiko designs, created with stencils or free hand, to secure fabric patches over worn areas, creating unique garments.

Bring along an item of clothing in need of repair or something you’d like to embellish. Denim is ideal for this type of mending.

All materials will be provided and ticket price includes refreshments, a Sashiko best practice information sheet and your choice of thread and patching materials to continue at home. No previous experience necessary
