About this Event
This is the first MTC Asian Cultural Interest Group event and will be held in person on the Beltline Campus on Monday, May 4th at 11:00am. Professor Jared Demick will be giving a brief talk on Asian Foodways in American Culture followed by a workshop on how to make Japanese onigiri (rice balls) with he and Professor Deanna Kitamura. This is a FREE ticketed event and attendees will learn to make the simple, classic, and healthy food staple of Japanese culture. The event is open to all MTC students, faculty and staff as well as members of the Midlands outside community as long as they register for the event at Eventbrite. Come join us for a little history, pop culture, food, and a lifelong skill you can learn in minutes. We hope to promote a community of belonging based on our common interest and love of Asian culture.
