This special workshop is inspired by two iconic symbols of the Japanese summer: the traditional Uchiwa (Japanese hand fan) and the delicate blue flower Tsuyukusa (Dayflower). Together, they represent coolness, tranquillity and the appreciation of nature during Japan's hottest season.

To make the experience even more memorable, every participant will also enjoy a complimentary authentic Hong Kong meal and drink, bringing together two cultures through art, food and the shared joy of summer.

Discover the Story Behind Uchiwa

The Uchiwa has been part of Japanese life for over a thousand years.

Originally used in ceremonies and by the imperial court, it later became an everyday essential during Japan's hot and humid summers. Today, Uchiwa are found at summer festivals, fireworks displays and traditional celebrations across the country.
