๐๐๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฎ๐ป is a poeta Mexicano, writing out of Inglewood CA and on IG @jack_the_sipper.
๐๐๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐บ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ผ๐ฟ is a writer and performer from South Central Los Angeles. He released his first poetry book, ๐๐ช๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐๐บ ๐๐ณ๐ข๐ถ๐ฎ๐ข, with Riot of Roses Publishing House. His poems have been included in the literary journal ๐๐ฐ๐ฃ๐ช๐ญ๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ต๐ข ๐๐ข๐จ and anthologies from Beyond The Veil Press, Golden Foothill Press, and Poetic Underground LLC Press. He can be found on IG @thee_amador.
She has received support from Voices of Our Nations Arts Foundation (VONA) and is currently pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing at California State University, Fresno. She can be found on IG @salgadopartida.
๐ ๐ฎ๐ฒ๐๐๐ฟ๐ผ has released rap albums, gotten Drew Barrymore high, drag raced Michelle Rodriguez, and had his finger bitten off in the first season of HBOโs Westworld, but wonโt admit any of that in real life. Striving to be better and suspiciously bored in the middle of his 5th or 6th SAG AFTRA strike, and cynically against the performative or cliche, he can be found either at The Offbeat or Cuevita when heโs not eating bugs on the L.A. River bike path, or inhaling the vape pens, losing at dominoes 25 miles somewhere from his house.
๐ง๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐ ๐๐๐น๐น ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฃ๐ผ๐ฒ๐๐ is a monthly poetry series created, curated, and hosted by Los Angeles-based poets and editors, ๐ก๐ถ๐ธ๐ผ๐น๐ฎ๐ถ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ and ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ผ ๐๐ป๐ฑ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ ๐ ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ผ with the goal of supporting a diverse array of published SoCal authors and the local independent bookstores that carry their works.
The event takes place on the second Thursday of every month and is always free and open to the public, no tickets or reservations required
