Collegiate Head Coaching: Leitao has held head coaching positions at the University of Virginia (2005–2009), DePaul University (2002–2005 and 2015–2021), and his alma mater, Northeastern University (1994–1996).
Championship Experience: He was an associate head coach at the University of Connecticut (UConn) for two separate stints, where he helped the Huskies win the 1999 NCAA Championship.
Awards: He was named the 2006-07 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Coach of the Year while at Virginia, a season in which the team shared the ACC regular-season title.
