STEM Facilitation PD-. Facilitating Inquiry & STEM Practices in Action
Participants will explore the 8 STEM practices and learn how to intentionally plan for and recognize them in activities. Through a model lesson, educators will practice embedding investigation, modeling, and explanation into STEM experiences. Participants will leave with a simple planning tool to ensure STEM practices are visible and intentional.
STEM Facilitation Professional Development Series
The purpose of this series is to provide both new and veteran informal/afterschool educators alike with new tools, resources, and practices to provide high quality STEM experiences to youth in the out of school time environment. The series will engage attendees in a variety of small group, hands on, problem and project-based learning activities. Whether you are comfortable leading STEM activities or not—these sessions are for you to help build capacity in a fun, supportive environment!
