Jane Symmes is preparing to release her debut full-length album, Fool, celebrating with an official album release show at The Chapel in San Francisco.
Fool is an intimate, introspective body of work that explores the vulnerability of wanting more from life while grappling with self-doubt—the tension between believing in your purpose and fearing you’re foolish for trying. The album’s emotional core is captured in the closing track’s refrain: “Am I just a fool to believe in myself?”
The lead single, “Keeping Your Sweater,” sets the tone for the record with its nostalgic warmth and emotional honesty. Lyrics like “Tell me, are you satisfied / Did you ever figure out what’s on the other side” reflect the album’s themes of searching, connection, and self-reflection. Sonically, the project blends indie folk textures with timeless songwriting, creating a sound that feels warm, reflective, and deeply human.
Jane’s album release show will feature the full live debut of Fool, alongside select previously released songs, offering audiences both a cohesive artistic statement and a dynamic, emotionally engaging live experience.
Performing since 2011, Ren Geisick has become a beloved voice in the South Bay music scene. With a background in Jazz and influences of country-western music of the 1950s, ’60s, and ’70s, Ren brings a distinctive blend of classic and contemporary storytelling to her work. On June 20, 2025, she released her second album—and first full project of all original material—featuring standout tracks like the 1970s-style country anthem “The Outlaw Song” and the modern Americana heartbreaker-with-a-beat, “Don’t Start Telling Me the Truth.” Ren pairs powerful vocals with heartfelt lyricism, backed by a top-notch country band that delivers an unforgettable live experience.
Animal Prince is the vintage-pop project from singer-violinist Fae Nageon de Lestang and percussionist Grant McLeod, ft. some of the Bay Area’s best artists. Fae’s vocals are a captivating instrument, drawing the listener into a landscape that’s playful yet polished, soulful but never self-serious, layered with string arrangements, synth grooves, hooks, harmonies and the occasional actual birdsong. Borrowing from bossa nova, indie folk, yacht rock and chamber pop, Animal Prince would be at home on a mix with Clairo, TOPS, Weyes Blood, or The Beach Boy’s Pet Sounds, but the sound is uniquely their own: tender, danceable and delightfully feral.
