Jane Jacobs Walk is a series of free neighborhood tours that help put people in touch with their environment and the people living in their community.Our mission is to help people walk, observe, and connect with their community and environment. Walks inspire people to make a difference because they enable community members to discover and respond to their city's and environment's complexities through personal and shared observation.
Join The Center For The Living City for a special Jane Jacobs Walk throughout the downtown section of Scranton, PA, Jane's home city. This walk is sponsored in part by the Lackawanna Heritage Valley National and State Heritage Area in partnership with the National Park Service. This walk is presented in partnership with the 2024 Scranton Fringe Festival.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5TH at 12:00 pm (approx. 75 minute tour)
Meeting - rain or shine - at the Chris Doherty Pocket Park (corner of Wyoming Ave & Linden Street)
