Hello Jammers!
We're in for a treat at our next party as we welcome a true head of the UK's Underground to make his JTC Debut!
Paul Wise aka Placid, born out of a lifelong affair with the many shades of deep electronic music and a thirst for collecting records since 1989.
Known as 'The DJ's DJ' and reputed to be owner of one of the world's most encompassing collections of Acid House, Placid is a walking acid-house encyclopaedia! Previously #15 on FACT's top 100 under-rated DJs list who can always be trusted to bring you a pure vinyl set of the absolute best of Acid House, Detroit Techno, Retro Electro and Chicago House and with a gigging biography that has taken him to Detroit, New York, Berlin, France, Spain and Holland as well as Glastonbury and BLOC.
As a resident he shares the decks alongside Posthuman & Luke Vibert for I Love Acid, DJ International Radio and not forgetting the Bristol club night, and label of the same name 'Were Going Deep' with Owain K.
If that wasn't enough 'Were Going Deep' the label has hosted a smorgasbord of prime underground goodness featuring Full or VA releases from acts including Versalife, Carl Finlow, James Shinra, Luke Vibert, Jamie Anderson, Acidulant, Affie Yusuf, Posthuman, Derek Carr & Rekab.
