James Yorkston is a singer-songwriter and author from the East Neuk of Fife, Scotland. Since 2001, he has released a series of acclaimed albums on Domino Records and toured them worldwide. His 2023 album The Great White Sea Eagle, with Nina Persson of The Cardigans, earned widespread praise, as did 2021’s The Wide, Wide River. With the trio Yorkston/Thorne/Khan, he explores folk and Indian classical music—Navarasa was The Guardian’s 2020 Folk Album of the Year. He has also published four books, including 2025’s novel Tommy The Bruce, which The Sunday Mail called “An outstandingly well written, emotionally complex slice of Scottish noir”.Strong support comes from The Silver Reserve.
